A student at Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota, Vandana is a youth activist, researcher, and author dedicated to make reforms in state/national policy through expanding youth civic engagement. She is interested in the connection between health (mental and physical), and politics, and researches the correlation between the two. Aside from SPRING, Vandana is the co-founder of a national, youth led nonprofit named the Youth Equity Project, that dedicates itself to mental health reform within minority groups and educational institutions. She is also the CEO of an initiative that empowers youth to be more civically engaged. She is an aspiring author, writing a book about mental health through a historical lens. She is an avid member and leader in school extracurriculars such as Speech, Debate and DECA, and enjoys running, hiking, and hanging out with friends!
